Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of PowerBIPractice (the "Service"), operated by PowerBIPractice ("we", "us"). By creating an account or purchasing Premium, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
1. The Service
The Service provides interactive lessons on Power BI, DAX, data modelling and Power Query; job projects based on realistic workplace requests, with full solutions; progress tracking, badges and leaderboards; and a certificate of completion. Exercises take place in a simulated practice environment that runs in your browser. The practice environment is our own software for learning purposes. It is not Microsoft software and does not include every feature of Power BI.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- An account is personal to one individual and may not be shared, sold or transferred. For access for a team, contact us.
- You must inform us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3. Free access and Premium
The first lessons are available to everyone, without an account. The lessons of the core path (Getting started, Visuals, Data model, Power Query) are free with a free account, which also saves your progress. An account is required for Premium. Premium provides access to all lessons, the advanced stages, all job projects and the certificate for as long as your plan is active. The features and price of each plan are shown on the pricing page before you pay.
4. Payment, renewal and cancellation
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stream (streampay.sa), on its own secure payment page; its terms also apply to the payment. The price and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the price in effect when you subscribed, until you cancel.
- You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period you have paid for.
- A Lifetime plan is a single payment that provides Premium access for as long as we operate the Service, including content added later.
- We will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change before it applies to your next renewal.
5. No refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable, including partly used billing periods and Lifetime purchases. The free stages let you try the Service before you pay. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. If you were charged in error, for example twice for the same plan, contact [email protected] and we will correct it. This does not affect any rights you have under the law that applies to you.
6. Certificates
A certificate confirms that its holder completed the stages and projects listed on it on the Service. It is not a Microsoft certification and does not replace examinations such as PL-300. Anyone with the certificate number, or the name on it, can confirm that it is genuine. We may revoke a certificate obtained in breach of these Terms, for example through account sharing or automated tools.
7. Intellectual property and permitted use
The lessons, job projects, solutions, practice datasets, text, graphics and software of the Service belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning while you have access. Work you create while practising remains yours. You may not:
- copy, publish, sell or distribute the lessons, projects or solutions, including by posting answers publicly;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access the Service, extract its content or complete lessons;
- circumvent access controls, payment systems or security measures, or interfere with the operation of the Service;
- use the Service unlawfully or to harass others, including through display names on leaderboards.
8. Third parties
Microsoft, Power BI and Excel are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft. The practice data is based on Microsoft's Financial Sample. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content.
9. Changes to the Service
We continually develop the Service and may add, change or remove lessons, features or plans. We may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance, where possible with prior notice.
10. Disclaimer
We aim to keep the content accurate and consistent with Microsoft's documentation. Except as required by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Completing lessons, projects or a certificate does not guarantee passing an examination, obtaining employment or any other result.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data or opportunity, and our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that materially or repeatedly breaches these Terms, after giving notice where reasonable.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will update the date at the top and give at least 30 days' notice of significant changes by email or on the Service. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, the amended Terms apply. If you do not agree, you may cancel your plan and stop using the Service.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the country in which PowerBIPractice is established. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. We encourage you to contact us first, as most issues can be resolved quickly by email.
